Stimulants are psychoactive drugs which induce temporary improvements in either mental or physical functions or both. And are also occasionally referred to as "uppers".
Inhalants
Inhalants are toxic chemical vapors or a chemically diverse group of psychoactive substances composed of organic solvents and volatile substances commonly found in household products. This includes a variety of gases, glues, and aerosols. And are also referred to as: "sniffing drugs," "snorting drugs," or "huffing drugs".
Hallucinogens
Hallucinogens are found in plants and fungi or are synthetically produced and are among the oldest known group of drugs used for their ability to alter human perception and mood.
Depressants
Depressants are drugs that lowers neurotransmission levels, which is to depress or reduce arousal or stimulation. And are also occasionally referred to as "downers" as they lower the level of arousal when taken.
Cannabinoids
Cannabinoids are a group of terpenophenolic compounds present in Cannabis (''Cannabis sativa'') and occur naturally in the nervous and immune systems of animals. And are approved drugs for the treatment of cancer-related side effects.
Solvents
A solvent is usually a liquid but can also be a solid or a gas. The maximum quantity of solute that can dissolve in a specific volume of solvent varies with temperature. Common uses for organic solvents are in dry cleaning, as paint thinners, as nail polish removers and glue solvents, in spot removers, in detergents, in perfumes, nail polish and in chemical synthesis.
